Introduction The Diploma of Hospitality & Tourism Management is a diploma academic program that leverages on a unique learning opportunity in the combined disciplines of hospitality, tourism and management. Students pursuing the programme will be exposed in the 'know how' and 'hands on' training in both the hospitality and tourism areas of practices. As such, graduates of the programme are expected to be competent to handle the common hospitality and tourism practice as well as becoming the forefront supervisors and lower level managers that are able to advice on routine decision making process of the job scope.
Conducted over the period of two-years on a semester basis (four long and three short semesters), where students will major in hospitality, tourism and management areas. Given such academic exposure, graduates of the Diploma of Hospitality & Tourism Management, therefore, would be in an advantage position to find career opportunities not only in the government sector, but more importantly, in the private and corporate sector. As for the latter career opportunities, graduates are most encouraged to further their study to degree and masters level.
Structure and Content Principles of Management Business Accounting Business Statistics Elements of Econonmics Tourism Systems F&B Operations Management Marketing Management Business Law Delivery Method The Curriculum is taught over 4 terms of ten weeks, with each term covering two modules. Each module of this program will be delivered over a 5 week cycle comprising 30 hours of lectures.Classes are 2 hours in duration duing the week days and 5 hours on weekends.
