Inner Mongolia Medical Universty is located Huhhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Founded in 1956, the college was the first medical institution of higher education built by the Central Government in an area inhabited by minority nationalities. For over half a century, the college has trained a large number of highly-qualified health care workes including clinicians, medical scientists and medical administrators, thus making great contributions to public health and social developments in the autonomous region. Its world class facilities also support a number of formal international training programmes in disciplines such as Pharmacology; Pharmaceutical Management; Biotechnology;Nursing and Psychology.

Founded in March 1958, it has become the largest most comprehensive hospital in providing first class treatment, teaching, research, preventative medicine and health care services to 1667 warded patients and receives more than 1 million outpatients and 47,000 hospitalized patients annually. There is presently 2081 faculty staff including 148 senior professionals, 248 associate professionals and 50 with doctorate degrees.
